Become a Caregiver

Métis Family Services is a Delegated Indigenous Agency looking for individuals and families who would like to join our roster of dedicated foster parents.

Our caregivers provide safe and stable homes to Métis children and youth who are unable to live with their own families, while working closely with the child's care team and ensuring their family ties and cultural connection.

All applicants are welcome, and individuals who identify as Métis are given preference.

Donate to the Stephanie Foerderer Memorial Fund

On March 9, 2004 our dear friend and co-worker, Stephanie Natasha Foerderer, was tragically taken from us in a fatal car accident. Even though her loss was overwhelming to her family and friends, it was their wish to share her love and memory with a truly worthy cause.

The Stephanie Foerderer Memorial Fund was created with the support of Stephanie's family to celebrate and remember the life of Stephanie Foerderer by helping to provide educational and cultural services to aboriginal children and youth.
If you wish to contribute to this memorial fund, please mail or deliver donations via cheque to Métis Family Services. Your generous donation will be used specifically to benefit the education and cultural connection of children and youth in care.
